BEST USE OF INTERNET TECHNOLOGY

In October 2013 in the fairways Hotel. The Louth Chamber of Commerce organised their annual business awards with just under 500 guests turning out at the Fairways Hotel on the Saturday night for the Louth Business Awards, hosted by Dundalk Chamber of Commerce. Fifteen awards were handed out on the night with many a coveted prize up for grabs. Visit Carlingford scooped the coveted “Best Use of Internet Technology” Prize. The prize was adjudicated by a panel of esteemed businesses in the region and Dundalk Institute of Technology.

YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR

Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur is a competition for participants who are 30 years of age or under with a business idea or an existing business. Local Enterprise Office Louth hosted the Louth Finals Awards Ceremony of Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur on Friday 10 October in Creative Spark with Cathaoirleach Oliver Tully presenting the Awards. 15 finalists were invited to take part in a Boot camp in September. They received follow up mentoring before putting together their business plans and taking part in an interview and sales pitch to bid for a grant aid.

Best Start-up company went to Richard Brennan representing Visit Carlingford. The Visit brand has created a one stop shop of Carlingford and builds holiday packages to suit all needs.
